Nice high tech boutique hotel

A very nice boutique hotel, room is kinda small but everything else is good

Cleanliness - everything is spotless
Location - Less than 10 mins from pier
Room - On the small side but it is same as in photos, good decor, big lcd tv, wireless telephone, a high tech looking aircon controller (dunno why I have to mention this but it does look cool)
Service - Spent my time mostly outside but check in and other staff I bump into is friendly and efficient
Value - Macau is so expensive now, this is definitely a good bargain on a weekday, where the price is around 100 USD, on a weekend it will go up to around 140/150 USD but it is already on the lower end of spectrum

Will def come back if I am going to Macau

A gem in Macau

Stayed over for a night from HK.

Location:
Near to port, hotel provided complimentary transfer to/from port, journey about 10 mins.
Not exactly near to the main town square but a short bus trip outside the hotel does the magic.

Check-in/Reception:
Excellent and brilliant! The front desk staff responded well to many of our queries and always ready to offer their smile and assistance. A surprise complimentary room upgrade was offered.

Room:
New, clean and fully equiped. Spacious and cosy interior design.

Additional comments:
I take this opportunity to highlight the excellent service provided by one of the male staff at the entrance. (Sorry that i missed his name. He is young chap and medium built). We missed the shuttle service and could be late for the ferry, the staff took the extra mile and run to the main road and attempted to hail a taxi into the hotel, under the blazing sun. His urgency and sincerity impressed us. I hope the LKF management read this and send our appreciation to him.

I gave an overall rating of 4 instead of 5 star because the hotel is not providing complimentary internet service at this moment, which i feel has becomes an essential part of travel and living. To be fair to LKF, most operators in HK and Macau do have room for improvement in this aspect.

Great place, great price!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Nice rooms, very clean and comfortable. The rooms are very modern, I think the hotel had recently been renovated. A short cab ride or long walk to the old town. Very close to the majority of casino's. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have nothing bad to say about this place.

Hotel Lan Kwai Fong Macau

Basically, I prefer to stay in Lan Kwan Fong Hotel because it is a new hotel with reasonable price. The room is comfort with location in downtown. It is convenient for travelling in Macau or doing business in this area. For my future visit , I still prefer to choose this hotel for various purposes , sightseeing , family gathering as well as business activities etc.

Personal service with a touch of class

Lan Kwai Fong seems a popular name for hotels, and now for one outside of Hong Kong. While none are operated by the same owners, there are some similarities, in that the Lan Kwai Fong in Macau is a modern, refined, well appointed property that offers good comfort and amenities that make any room stay pleasant. Bathrooms are well designed, beds are comfortable, rooms are nicely designed and decorated, and some touches make things just a little more special - like the multi-phone charger that will recharge almost any make of phone should you have forgotten your own leads. The staff, at all levels are very friendly and helpful - even an engineering in my room was attended quickly, pleasantly and resolved the issue successfully. The only criticism I can make is in regard to dining - in particular breakfast. Being forced to walk through the gaming rooms to a small, noisy, unimpressive and to a decidedly unimpressive breakfast menu was the low point but one which could be easily fixed by providing a good quality standard buffet breakfast in one of the hotel's other restaurants. I probably harbour a greater grudge about this than I should - but a good start to the day makes one happy and this is definitely an area where this otherwise excellent hotel needs to make improvement.

Impeccable Service and Great Overall Experience...

Our family of 7 stayed here for a night before heading to HKG.

We were warmly greeted by Jerry Wang, our butler at the airport and were whisked into a minibus to the hotel. On the way, we were provided valuable advice and feedback on the sights, history and culture of Macau.

Check-in was a breeze and everything was smooth and nice, our luggage was well taken care of and then promptly delivered to our rooms by the concierge. You can imagine our pleasant surprise when our 2 deluxe room + 1 grand suite bookings were all upgraded to grand suites, which were wonderful and thoughtfully decorated.

We were also provided complimentary transfer to the city by Gary Mak, which was greatly appreciated.

On our departure, I arranged for 7 ferry tickets from Macau to Kowloon, and the manager at the concierge, Raymond went out of his way to ensure the tickets were purchased and prepared for us.

Check-out was easy, shuttle bus to ferry terminal was punctual and the excellent lasting impression we had was cemented by Jerry and another hotel staff seeing us off at the terminal, all the way to the departure gate.

Fantastic after stay service and the service culture is highly commendable. Great work guys!

Stylish boutique hotel and casino

Close to the ferry terminal, this newly renovated boutique hotel is a plush reasonably priced choice to stay at in Macau. Slightly removed from the main walking street of Macau and a fair hike to the Old Town - it's still within easy walking distance to the MGM and Wynn Hotels. Room was spacious, modern and extremely clean. Wonderful bathroom amenities. Bed extremely plush with spotless fresh sheets. Huge TV with nice variety of English and Chinese language channels. Staff very friendly. Free pick up from ferry. Extremely enjoyable and would definitely recommend if you don't mind a bit of a walk.

Style with substance for the budget traveller.

The hotel is strikingly stylish at first appearance. Check-in was smooth, although it was one level up from the entrance. The foyer is swarming with black suited gentlemen, probably on account of the casino attached, but after the initial sighting, they are friendly. Casino is small , but has a loyal set of clientele. The room was just right in size, well furnished and the sense of style continues with lights creating patterns on the wall, a see through wall into the shower for the romantic couples, and a well appointed toilet. The shower accessories were the best I have seen and even the water bottles were so well designed that we carried home a couple of them. The restaurant is a disaster for people who do not enjoy ethnic chinese food, the employees do not speak english too well and the hotel has very few buses to transfer you to the ferry or other casinos. However, there are a few really good eateries just beside the hotel, city buses stop just behind and when in need to go to The venetian and other casinos, just walk across to The Sands, about 200 metres away and you are on. The rooms though a bit tight, had fabulous bedding and pillows. Televison channels are very few.

Excellent 3 star Hotel near Macau Ferry Port

Arrive from Hongkong by Ferry and picked up by Hotel LKF shuttle bus. They help us with luggages and it was excellent.
Check in was on 3rd floor .Staff speaks very good English and Mandarin.
Hotel room was small as we expected but it was very cozy and clean.Comfortable room.Nice toilets and superb toileteries and amenities( Morton Brown ,Crabtree and Evelyn)
Attention to details was 100 % guaranteed.
Hotel has its own casino but don't bother to gamble there cause it feels like you are gambling on your private casino(nobody was inside that casino but me ,only).

Walking distance to Sands casino (Big one) and they provide free shuttle bus to Venetian Casino in Taipa island.
Make sure you visit Fisherman Wharf (walking dist:1o minutes relaxly).Take fotos of Golden Bauhinia near this hotel.Far from St Paul 30 Patacas by taxi.
Hongkong Dollar is a legal tender in Macao.
HKD 100= 103 Patacas.

I checked into LKF at 2 am - the receptionist was expecting me and promptly gave me my room card and I was asleep by 2.15am. The bed was very firm & comfortable.
Although the room was small, the furnishings and amenities were as good as a 5 star hotel.
The staff I met were all young females who spoke very well, were interested, courteous and helpful.
It was a very enjoyable stay and well worth it.

Pass on the deluxe rooms, but the suites are great

We were upgraded for free to the suites both times we stayed here. The second time because we complained about the quality of deluxe room, which should be called the substandard room. I think this is a renovated old hotel, because I can't believe they would make such poorly designed rooms on purpose. The baths are super small, with a shower over the tub. The Hotel Royal is just $90 for bathrooms twice the size. The room was seriously claustrophobic, with a door to the next room. We could hear people coughing, hacking and spitting, and cigarette smoke came in from their room. The toiletries were lame and there was only a crusty kettle for instant coffee. If you're going to charge 200khd more than nicer hotels, you could at least put a nespresso machine in the rooms. On the flip side, I think the suites are underpriced for the market. They're definitely worth splashing out on. We like this hotel a lot, the service is really nice. But they have to put real walls in the deluxe rooms instead of doors and should match the amenities to the suites.

Macau Lan Kwai Fong

It was a wonderful stay. I think it is quite new as everything looked very well-maintained. The room was very comfortable, with soft bedroom slippers and bath robe provided. Even the lighting in the room was nice, with a flower motif projected on the wall. It was a very comfortable stay and definitely recommended. Also, it was very near the ferry terminal and there was a free shuttle to and fro.

Rooms almost like 5star

Good value for money. Very nice rooms albeit a bit small except for the suites. When tried to order room service, there was no menu so the receptionist had to explain the dishes in broken English, placed an order, waited 30minutes then she called back and said that dish was not available. She then had to explain the dishes again and I had to wait so long for the delivery. Good local restaurants nearby, better to go eat there instead.

overall nice hotel

The rooms are super clean and they have comfortable beds and showers, even an ihome included. Much nicer hotel than the standard 3 star, definitely better rooms than comparable hotels like Emperor hotel or President. Avoid the mini bar and internet and this room is clearly better. The suite had an automatic espresso machine and bvlgari lotions / shampoo conditioner and a nice office area. The restaurant downstairs has great sushi, ingredients flown in daily from Japan I believe.

All in all, it's a really good hotel with nice smell and good service quality. Most Satisfying

Well located with plenty of eating options nearby, city buses ply from behind the hotel. They even had two Mac's with 21 inch screens and free internet usage, next to the reception. The food was disappointing, even the breakfast on offer being tepid. Small cosy casino, extremely well maintained property. They lack adequate free transfers from the ferry terminal, but getting to the ferry was never an issue. Besides, the Sands hotel nearby has plenty of coaches, even to get to their sister concern The Venetian.

Will definitely recommend this place!

The Hotel Lan Kwai Fong Macau definitely exceeded our expectations. It is conveniently located near the ferry terminal. The hotel itself is beautiful and a work of art. One can tell that a lot of attention was paid to every detail of the decoration. Our 12th-floor room, though small, was luxuriously appointed with all modern conveniences and necessities. Although internet access in the room is not free, there is a business center conveniently located near the hotel lobby where one can use the computers for free internet access. The staff was very efficient, friendly and helpful. We loved this place and wished we could have stayed longer to use its facilities to the fullest.

This is a nice hotel hotel overall, all the decor are very new and hip, and the bathroom stuffs eg shampoo and shower gel are Bvlgary, we love the smell. The bed and pillows are comfy enough. The room design was great, but for a grand suite room, the size is rather small a bit. Please make some improvement in the shuttle bus service and the environmental hygiene of the hotel.

Highlight of the trip

- i couldn’t help but yelling at the firth step into the room. i hadn't stayed into any Boutique Hotel before but i like it more than other 6-star hotel i have been to in the past. - love the interior design!! the rose projected on the wall is matching with the rose pattern on the mat. O...and the hidden wall safe...you can never tell there is it with its wooden door. The room is furnished in a stylish manner. - Location is actually very convenience with a bus stop in front that you can catch most of the main routes.

Staff phone answering manner need to be improved. When i called at night asking if the espresso machine is free of charge to use, the staff couldn't hear me clear at the firth time, and after i repeat the question again, she answered my question with a very annoying tone. =( - When i check in at 3 pm after arrival, the staff told us that there will be a 45 mins wait for the room. So we decided to leave our bags and come back later that night as we need to catch the ziza show.

i got a lot of feedback after posting those photo we took inside our hotel room on facebook. And they were all very surprised that it was actually locate d in Macau. I am very glad that i have chosen LKF hotel instead of other 6-stars hotel like venetian. (and paid only half of the Venetian room rate)

Nice room

I booked a last minute deal for a suite room and was impressed with what I got. While on the smaller side for a suite room, the room was well decorated, had large comfy bed and good appliances, such as multiple mobile phone charger, ipod dock, sony bravia tv with good selection of channels. Bathroom was also a very good size with very nice shower. Location of the hotel is convenient, being a short 10min walk to the Lisboa, Wynn, casino area. No breakfast was included or wifi, which is a bit dissapointing, given the price of the room. But if you are looking for a good standard room to for a weekend break this is ideal.

Good hotel and enjoyed the stay. It is easy to go around in taxi or walk if you prefers to most areas of interest. Taxi to senardo square is less than HK15. You can walk from here to fishman wharf and sands. This hotel offers a shuttle bus from ferry terminal to hotel and back for free. Visited their Spa/ Gym area: once we are out of the lift, the staff welcome us with grace, and without hestitaion provided us a free tour of the area with explanation despite we did not get any package. the gym is clean and new and the spa area is spacious and well designed. will definitely stay there again if we return to Macau.

Want to feel luxurious

I want to live there. Our bed was sensational. The finest linen I have ever come across and pillows to die for.Room was large enough and super luxurious, especially for the price. Fresh linen each day, felt guilty about that. A lot closer to town centre than the map implies comfortable walking distance if a walker or catch a bus and surprise - it was a casino but the pokies were too rich for my end of holiday purse so didn't spend too long in there.Excellent food in snack bar, all the staff are great and the whole hotel is very luxurious but you are made to feel very welcome by every staff member.

Comfortable stay

The hotel was really pretty and had a small convenience store around the corner. Hotel reception was on the third floor which was a little inconvenient. Don't think there was a direct bus to senado square. The room was very comfortable with comfy bed and pillows. Didn't like that there was the smell of cigarette smoke in the lifts but guess it can not be helped as a lot of people smoke in macau. The reception staff was very helpful - Jason helped us to place reservations for two popular restaurants which we wished to have our meals at. We had tried to make the reservations ourselves but they were not open yet so we asked Jason for help. The restaurants had our tables nicely set when we arrived.

Macau hotel value

I was excited about getting a good, new hotel in Macau for a very reasonable price and when I initially arrived I wasn't disappointed. The hotel was new, clean and the room was very nice. The hotel is in Macau not fat from the ferry terminal but only a short walk to the centre of Macau and the other major Macau casinos - Grand Lisboa, Wynn, MGM etc. I was put off by the exhorbitant (in my opinion) internet charge 160 MOP for in you room internet for 1 day. Most hotels I have been in do not charge, let alone 20 dollars for internet. Big disappointment there.

Nice Boutique Hotel

I would say that I will recommand this hotel to my friends based on the room condition and the price. I believe this hotel is a make-over renovation from an old building and therefore they have to put the lobby on the 3rd floor. I didn't check out many of the facilities, but there are always taxis around, a shuttle bus to the ferry, and the staff is attentive. Overall, considering the price I paid, this was a very good hotel and well recommended."

Boutique hotel without breaking the bank

"I booked a junior suite through macau.com, which featured the hotel as the "hotel of the month".

Great design throughout, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. Many restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and the major gambling hotels are only a fifteen minute (pleasant) walk away.

The only downside was the limited English of the staff, thougn they did make up for it by their efforts. And the hotel should provide free internet access in all rooms.

I was impressed with how safe the city felt, even very late at night."

Superb

"Having stayed at the Venetian on each of my other trips to Macau, I thought I'd give another hotel a chance and I was very glad I did. Like the reviewer below I also booked the "hotel of the month" deal on macau.com and stayed in a grand suite for a little under HKD900 per night. Specific points:

Rooms: spacious and tastefully decorated (see photos), it was so clean it felt like we were the first occupants. A big plus for this hotel is that (with your keycard) you can get the lift straight to your room without having to walk miles through casinos. Likewise, the reception, bar and restaurants are separate from the casino on the third floor.

Bathroom: very nice bathtub, separate rain shower from roof. The blinds can be pulled down for privacy from the living/sleeping room.

Amenities: All quality - the room came with a plasma tv that swiveled out from the wall, an ipod docking stereo, free broadband, a nespresso machine and bulgari toiletries.

Location: taxis are so cheap in macau that location is not really a consideration - e.g. to/from the ferry terminal is HKD20 (or you could get the free half-hourly shuttle there). Similar cost to the centre of town.

Staff: their English is generally not the best but they do bend over backwards. Late check-out was no problem.

Casino: first floor. Clean and smart, not overly crowded, free drinks at the vip table (min $100 BJ bets, $10 roulette) not sure about the other tables. Good aircons so not as smoky as the big casinos and doesn't have any working-girls strutting about. Staff are very friendly: whether the dealers or the people in light blue jackets who speak perfect English.

All in all, this is a perfect base for tourists who prefer staying in boutique hotels over chains or big casino-and-buffet combos. For gamblers it's a comfortable and classy casino hotel. No buffets or fountain shows here, but they're only a cheap taxi away if you want them."

Superb....not quite

"Well, we stayed there on our 10th wedding anniversary. It was a hotel+transportation package for two booked through a travel agent in Hong Kong for about HK$1500: Travel by Turbojet costs about HK$700 (2 persons). The cost of the room is therefore around $800. Breakfast was not included and so did many amenities as well, including wired/wireless Internet. Cheapskate! Either the hotel retracted many perks that were mentioned in HK magazine reviews or the magazine reviews were full of crap. The magazine reviews were only a couple of weeks old and I seriously doubt the magazines lied.

When we arrived at the lobby, we weren't impressed but not disappointed. It does give you a feel of arriving to a 4-Star Hong Kong hotel. Lan Kwai Fong isn't exactly a new hotel but rather a refurnished from an older one, therefore it lacks the luxuriousness and spaciousness normally found in new hotels. However, it really depends on how one define "luxurious". The reception desk was on the 3rd floor, which was quite unusual. Either you take the escalator 3 floors above and passing through the casinos and a number of metal detectors OR you take the elevator. The staffs were courteous and generally fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

When we arrived in the room, again we weren't impressed. It was really nothing to write home about. And definitely this "Deluxe room" was not designed for non-couples 'cause it lacked privacy. Between the bed and the bathroom is a see-thru glass. There was a curtain but that curtain was outside of the bathroom. If you happened to stayed with a pervert, he/she will have a field day on you! :-) Check out the Duluxe room picture on their website and you'll know what I mean.

We booked for a non-smoking room but we were given one with an ashtray. We immediately asked for a non-smoking one and we were whisked to a room in the non-smoking 12th floor. However, what's the point of a non-smoking room/floor when everyone smokes on every floor? What really ticked us off was people smoking inside elevators. And the staffs never complained (one of the managers was in the elevator at the time). Don't blame their guests for doing so because there were no "NO SMOKING" signs inside any elevators.

The room came with one bathrobe and feeling the hotel's un-professionalism, we decided to inform the front desk of this (just in case they charge us for the missing robe). The said they were aware of it and they explained the room was intended for one person only. However, we didn't bother to argue with them why there were two sets of slippers, towels, toothbrushes, etc.

Superb? NOT! There are a lot more choices out there and it was far below other Asian hotel standards."

My Sweet Grand Suite Hotel Room nothing can compare so far !!!!!

"I arrived at the Macao Airport from Jakarta around 8 PM. The weather was very cold, I think 12 - 15 degrees Celsius at that time. I took a taxi going from the airport to the Hotel, it's just less than 15 minutes and cost around MOP 60. The Hotel entrance was very nice, I like the smell that you can feel it all over the hotel. Check in was quick, I had to deposit a cash of HKD 1000 upon check in which is common case upon checking in a Hotel. I booked the hotel through Macau.com around HKD 899 and I was upgraded to Grand Suite room. The room is very nice, big, very clean, very comfortable, large King size bed, large plasma TV, nice sofa, nice drawer, big in room safety deposit, compliment of espresso with coffee maker and more over the bathroom is very nice tidy and really come in handy with a nice bathtub, shower and rain shower. The Hotel also offers two very comfortable shower robe which come in handy in a very cold weather. I really love it. What this Hotel offers is worth the money.
The Hotel staff is very helpful but not all of them speak very well English, but Jerry is a great person to talk to at the reception if you need anything.
You can find a good local restaurant at the back of the Hotel just around the corner, so no problem with breakfast. If you can not speak their languages, no worries because all the food come with picture and some have English description.
The Hotel is walking distance to some tourist attraction such as the Golden Flower, Fisherman's Wharf and some museum. You can take taxi to Sands Hotel which will cost you only MOP 13 and couple of minutes then take their free shuttle bus to Venetian Hotel and City of Dream.
Overall Macao is a small city, you can almost walk to go anywhere so distance doesn't matter at all. If you like to stay at the Hotel that a bit far from Casino crowd, you can choose this lovely Hotel although this Hotel has their own Casino.
The Hotel offers free shuttle Bus going to Macau ferry terminal to go to Hong Kong, the shuttle Bus will be available every 15 minutes.
I will definitely be back to this Hotel.
One thing that I found, the restaurant at the 3rd Floor is a bit pricey and doesn't suit my taste, so I would suggest to take a walk and find some nice local restaurant, I would recommend Shanghai Bund for dinner, it's somewhere downtown but walking distance from the Hotel at the second floor of small shopping center.

Tips for first time traveler who wants to go to Hong Kong by ferry, if you carry big luggage, first buy the Turbojet ticket 45 minutes ahead then walk to the luggage check in counter at the back and check in the luggage, the big one will cost you MOP 30 and the medium MOP 20. Show the ticket at the entrance of Turbojet locket, pass the immigration queue and go to the waiting room. Upon arrival at the Hong Kong ferry Terminal after the immigration walk to the right and you can claim back your luggage. The ferry from Macau to Hong Kong will take around an hour and using the Turbojet is comfortable enough."

Impressed with Hotel LKF

"We booked 3 nights in December 2009 over Christmas. The hotel collected us with the transfer service in a nice car (extra cost). Whilst this was very good, I would suggest taking a cab (its 15 min to Macau city centre from the airport).

Macau was very busy and all hotels were full or near to it. Nevertheless the LKF was very accommodating and service friendly and professional. The staff, though not all fluent in English were very helpful. My husband said that the place had a club-like feel.

The hotel was originally called the Kingsway but has had a major overhaul and appears totally new - decorations, furniture, the lot.We were upgraded to a "deluxe suite" which was double the size of a normal room. The room included a comfy bed ( important as some places have rock hard beds that Chinese prefer), flat screen TV, espresso machine, gorgeous bathroom (with quality toiletries etc ),although the sink area was separated from the sleeping area by a pleated blind (not solid wall).

Also in the hotel were the obligatory casinos (Macau has 38 of them!). In one of these you'll find a cafe that serves quality reasonably priced meals including breakfast (about HKD$70 each). The menu was totally in Chinese!. Other restaurants in the hotel included Japanese, a very classy Chinese, a bar - good cocktails, though slow service.

The hotel location was away from Senado Sq, and thus less hectic. It was in a pleasant area of the Macau peninsula, short walk to the Fisherman's Wharf and near the Sands mega-casino. We found a foot massage place nearby (HKD$90 for an hour. There were also some bargain priced Portuguese restaurants just nearby - much cheaper than the touristy La Lorcha .

We went to Hong Kong from here, returned to Macau and stayed at the Hotel Lisboa which was much less personal. We would return to the LKF on our next visit."

I will definitely go back!

"I love this hotel so much! It says 3 stars but it's nothing less than a 5 star in the room! You pay for a 3 star hotel you get a 5 star experience! The 2nd day when we went back the room card was not working. It turned out the hotel locked it for security purpose! Our room was so messy money, casino chips everywhere the hotel thought we got robbed and locked the room. HAHA! That was very thoughtful of them! Strongly recommend everyone to stay there!"

great hotel

"stayed this hotel for one night only. I was staying Waldo next to it for several nights but noticed this new hotel on the way in and out. This hotel is appealing to me as I noticed the small details for the design. Higher end hardware, service as well. It's 4-star, but with 5-star look and feel."

very nice hotel

"the hotel is located very near the ferry. it is a very nice hotel and i would recommend to all my friends. the room are very convenient and very clean. it has wifi, cable and good toilets. the staff are friendly enough. these are the types of new and modern hotels. there is a nice restaurant at the 3rd floor of the hotel. if you want to have some fun in the casino, you just need to go down to the lower floors. helpful staffs as well."

Great Hotel in decent location

"I was very impressed with the hotel, surprised it was only three star. It was actually very close in quality to a five star hotel I stayed at in Macau earlier. Room has an Ihome, comfortable bed and pillows, good shower, necessary amenities, room service, and TV with pay movies etc. Will return!

Nightlife Tip : Lots of casinos in walking distance, good legit massage place around the corner which is pretty cheap."

Review of the Hotel Lan Kwai Fong Macau

" I think the features of the hotel is good except the washroom. Anyway It's suitable for a family also couple to live here. You can see some flowers on the wall. It's so interesting that from the projector. on the other hand, the staff proformance is good. Conclusion it's worth to book if you are going travel in Macau.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The pier is very nearby. You can easier to get there if walk about 10mins."

Trying a New Hotel

"We are at the Ferry Port and the hotel was only a few minutes ride away. The taxi driver knew exactly where it was which was good considering it is a new hotel. The entrance was welcoming as were the staff, however the reception was on an upper floor which is always dificult if you have bags getting in an out of the lift. The reception was efficient and my golf clubs were taken from me and put on trolley to my relief. The room was not ready until 2pm which was awkward, when after travelling a shower was next on the agenda. There was potentailly a problem getting a non-smoking room. There seems to be little or no control over smoking and non-smoking rooms. I was promised a non-smoking by 2pm or I was going to another hotel. The room was well furbished but a little small except for the TV which was so big it dominated the room. The bed was comfortable and the facilities in the room new and of high quality. Good value for money."
